Add Audio to Google Slides

Add Audio to Google Slides

This Google Slides update is going to be a game changer for many teachers. Google Slides has just made it easier to provide oral accommodations and audio instructions for stations, hyperdocs, or even flipped lessons. No longer do you need to find a hack or a work-around. This update may already be available to you, but will roll out over the course of April 2019.

To access this feature:

  • Open a Google Slide presentation.
  • Choose Insert > Audio
  • Choose an audio file from your Google Drive.
This will insert a small icon that opens a small media player directly on your slide. Let us know all the creative ways you think to use this new feature!

  1. Thanks for your share. However, I know a easier way to add audio to Google Slides. Check this post.
