Displaying your iPad through your MacBook

Often when working in PLCs, I connect my iPad through QuickTime to the MacBook, instead of Mirroring 360. With this method, I am tethered to the laptop with a cord, but I find it doesn't lose connection as easily.

1. To try this (first, you must have a Mac), plug your regular charging cord into your iPad.
2. Plug the USB part into the computer.
3. Something might pop up on your iPad to "trust" the computer. Go ahead and do that.
4. Then, open Quicktime. Click File - then New Movie Recording.

5. On your screen you'll see a red record button. You must click the little down arrow next to the red button and change the video input to the name of your iPad.

That's it! If you also want audio to come from the iPad, you can click that down arrow again and change the audio source. With this, you are even able to hit record and record yourself doing a model lesson to use later!
